Terry Lao

Terry has been teaching Economics and Business Management since 2008, working with IB, A-Level, and IGCSE students for over 17 years. His deep understanding of the subject and how it is examined led him to serve as an active IB Diploma examiner for Economics. He understands the mark scheme from the inside: not just what the right answer looks like, but exactly how examiners decide between a 6 and a 7.

That examiner's perspective shapes how he teaches. He knows what the syllabus demands and structures every lesson around the concepts, skills, and habits that examiners reward.

Since 2015, 95% of his IB Economics students have achieved a 6 or 7, and 88% reach A or A* across A-Level and IGCSE. He has guided multiple students to perfect 100/100 scores at A-Level, and every student he works with improves by at least one grade within two months.
